Walt Disney World – day 8

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

Our next day we headed to Hollywood Studios – we wanted to get there early to be able to get to Galaxy’s Edge on lower crowds and my reservation at the Droid Depot

We had some breakfast at the hotel – using the DDP quick service credits – then headed straight to the park and straight through the park to Galaxy’s Edge. I love this park, there’s something special and very ‘old Hollywood’ about the vibe and the design of the park.

Galaxy’s Edge

Galaxy’s Edge is fantastic, so so detailed and very immersive, the whole experiment of walking around makes you feel you are on a planet out of Star Wars. I had a reservation at the Droid Depot to build myself a droid (I will do a full review and link it here), then we wandered around a bit more so we could see how my little droid would interact around the world.

Droid Depot

We had fast passes for Toy Story Mania, Indianna Jones stunt show and the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show, then fining reservations at Hollywood and Vine and Sci Fi Diner. We decided on Hollywood and Vine for the Fantasmic dining package for priority seating at the show, as well as the seasonal decor and costumes the characters are in (I will be posting a review of these two soon as well which I will link back)

Minnie’s Seasonal Dine – Halloween

We also managed to get some same day fast passes to be able to to Toy Story Mania again, and so I could go on Tower of Terror – no one else fancied this so I headed on on my own. Later on we had our reservation at Sci Fi Diner, then headed for some seats at Fantasmic.

Toy Story Land

Fantasmic is one of my favourite shows in Disney World. It follows the story of Mickeys dream, of becoming a hero and battling the bad guys. There’s actors, characters, projections and fireworks all culminating in a sail past of the big boat filled with your favourite characters.

Fantasmic

After this show we headed back to the hotel for the night, ready for our next day at Magic Kingdom
