ANIMAL KINGDOM
As we were coming to the end of our trip we were starting to hit our last days in certain parks – like this day at Animal Kingdom. We’d planned in fast passes for a couple of things we didn’t do the first day here – Flight of Passage and Meeting Disney Pals, as well as a second ride on Everest. We also had a dining reservation at Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge towards the end of the day before we headed back to our own hotel.

We started with a breakfast at the hotel then onto the park. Our first Fast Pass wasn’t until 10:45, giving us a time slot of 10:45-11:45 to hit the ride so we did have a lazier morning. The first ride was thr Avatar themed Flight of Passage. I had ridden before and I was super excited to experience this again, took my brother with me who wasn’t too sure but ended up loving it so much we hopped back on later on with a same day fast pass!
We then headed to the Festival of The Lion King as we had missed this the first day here and it was on our must do list. This is a show based on The Lion King with spectacular performances from singers dancers and acrobats. It really is worth a watch! We had a Fast Pass for Everest as well which we made sure to hit then our time for meeting the Disney Pals – the only place on site you can regularly meet Mickey and Minnie together and have a photo op with them both. Don’t forget to ask for those selfies…

We kept wandering round the park taking it all in and managing to score extra Fast Passes for Everest and Kali Rover Rapids – note: you do get a little wet! We went on with ponchos this time… We did get a bit of rain this day but some time exploring a shop countered that easily enough. When it was time to head to Sanaa we hopped on the Animal Kingdom Lodge shuttle bus and headed over. The restaurant is located in Jambo House which does have a separate bus stop. During the day you can see animals walking across your windows as you are right be the savanna area. This time though it was going dark and they were doing work which meant the windows were covered up which was a shame.

The restaurant itself is nice, although we personally found it quite cold. We had the famous bread service which is a must try, and then curries and steaks which were nice, however by this point we had eaten at that many nice places it was kind of under whelming for us. Again we used Table Service Credits for this, giving us one main, one dessert and a drink each (including cocktails or other alcohol).
After this we had a quick look around the hotel, then hopped on a bus to Disney Springs then another to our own hotel for the night.

Join me next week for Epcot, Teppan Edo and a rather wet and washed out Christmas Party
