Walt Disney World – day 13

EPCOT AND MICKEYS VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY

Cinderellas Castle

The next day we did a split day across two parks as we had tickets to Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party.

We started over in Epcot, having another wander round future world and hitting a couple of our favourite rides – Spaceship Earth, Figment and I hopped on Soarin again.

We then spent more time around the world showcase as we had a lunch reservation over in Japan at Tepan Edo. As this was another we were using our DDP credits for, I opted for the steak and chicken combo meal with the veg and noodles and the Nigoori Mimosa.

Steak and chicken combo – Tepan Edo

All the food was amazing and the whole experience was out of this world! Again we were sat with another group around the hot plate for the chef to cook on for us all, but this wasn’t an issue for us. Following this we hopped on the sky liner across to one of the hotels and then grabbed a bus into Magic Kingdom for the Christmas Party.

On the way it started raining but we pushed on hoping this would stop eventually and we’d still be good for the party – little did we know it was set to stay!!

Rainy Xmas parties

We made the most of it all while we could, walking onto rides, grabbing food from Caseys and waiting to see if the events of the night would go ahead. It must have been bad as the fireworks were cancelled and the parade only happened once – the rainy version with few characters and dancers.

Splash Mountaim was a walk on

We made the decision to call it a night around 10pm as we were pretty soaked and rather tired. We had tickets for a second party so kept everything crossed that one wouldn’t be too much of a wash out – stay tuned to find out!!

Next time we’ll be resort hopping around the deluxe hotels before visiting epcot again for some more Food and Wine fun
