A new blog series – pack with me, is something I’ve thought about for a while now.
I’m off on a two week residential training course with my new job, so I need to pack office wear for during the day and casual for evenings chilled in the bar and lounge areas.
As my job is customer facing, they run a smart dress rule – think smart office wear, suits, trousers and blouses, skirts and dresses. I did a small clothing haul which I will share as well eventually, a lot of which is likely to come with me the next two weeks.
Starting with the casual wear for an evening, as we have full access to the restaurant, the bar and lounges each evening, I want to be able to relax and de compress after the days in class:
Casual clothes
Leggings x 2 pairs (Amazon)
Black jeans x 1pair (Boohoo)
Cropped top x 2 (SHEIN)
Hoody/jumper x 2 (SHEIN)
Slouchy socks x 5 pairs (Amazon)

I also have access to the gym and pool so I will pack a couple of swim wear pieces and gym gear as well to round out the casual clothing.
Next I looked at work wear/ office wear – I need 5 outfits, taking as few pieces as possible for ease! This lead me to dresses… and then 1 pair of trousers and a blouse. Minimal items, 5 outfits!

I then added a cream cardigan which would go with every option depending how cool it was, and a pair of boots and a pair of shoes to round them out:
Office wear
Dresses x 4
Smart trousers x 1
Blouse x 1
Cardigan x 1
Ankle boots
Flats

On top of this there was the usuals:
Make up
Toiletries
Chargers
Hair care
Underwear & socks
Pyjamas
Kindle
The only other list I had was my work specific items like my laptop and study bag with notebooks, files and pens etc.
I’ll likely pack up the same for the second week, give or take just to make life easy on myself.
Have you ever been away with work? Any tips on packing?
Xoxo
