Trip announcement – Paris & Disneyland

As I’m sure many know by now I’m a massive Disney fan and I love going to Disney parks, and after 6 years I have finally managed to talk Mr C into a mini Disney trip which is super exciting and we are squeezing in a day in Paris at the same time…

Initial planning

I started looking initially at Disney itself and what dates work out best and how long for given Mr C is limited to his annual leave after our Caribbean trip. We finally settled on September, and instead of staying in a Disney hotel I started looking at Air BnBs and normal hotels in the area around which had good links everywhere just to see how this stacked up against a proper all in Disney holiday. I managed to find a lot that would sleep two, that were close to a bus stop, an RER station or had their own transport options which actually worked out better for us than staying on property as we aren’t going for that long.

Tracking flights I found Liverpool was cheaper and better times than Manchester my usual go to, and actually better and cheaper for parking too! So flights booked, hotel locked in, it was just the park tickets – over to Attraction Tickets Direct! I booked us two 1 day, 1 park tickets which were easily set up and linked to our DLP apps so nice and easy entry on the days.

Time in Paris

As we fly out so early on the first day, we are dropping our case at the hotel, then getting the train back into Paris to explore for a while.

Mr C has been previously, however I have never ventured into the city (that I remember!) and I can’t wait to explore the sights. We have a week travel pass to cover us getting from the airport, around Paris and to Disney each day and back again to Charles De Gaulle.

We are definitely wanting to stop at the Eiffel Tower, though Mr C wants to try and see this as sunset as it twinkles, and also wants to take me up to Montmartre to see the Sacre Coeur and also Moulin Rouge, and I want to try and find some traditional French macarons!

Hitting the parks

We have planned in two days back to back to hit the parks, on a 1 day, 1 park pass for each day. We plan to go to the studios park one day, and the village, and then the Disney park the other day and just focus our time that way. Anything we don’t do just means another trip anyways right?!

Naturally we have a list of must do as Mr C has never been to DLP – so if anyone has anything to suggest please let us know! I do ideally want to take him on some rides he has never been on even in Orlando (shock!) such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion, and of course take him on the delights of Big Thunder Mountain Paris style!

We also have the final day to explore the Val D’Europe centre or go back into Disney Village for a few hours before needing to head to the airport to fly home.

I’ll be doing a blog series trip report, a pack with me and even some videos over on my instagram so keep your eyes peeled!!

I’ll also be teaming up with Ellie on our collaboration logs to go over our tips, tricks and faves from DLP!

Until next time

Xoxo
