A Magical Day at Walt Disney Studios Park: A Blog
Our adventure at Walt Disney Studios Park was nothing short of enchanting! From the moment we stepped through the gates, the park’s movie-themed charm welcomed us into a world of cinematic wonders. Here’s a rundown of our magical day:
Morning: Lights, Camera, Action!
We kicked off the day early, arriving at the park as it opened. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, as families and Disney enthusiasts gathered to explore the studio-inspired attractions.
Our first stop was Ratatouille: The Adventure. This 4D dark ride took us on an adorable and thrilling journey through Gusteau’s restaurant, with effects that made us feel like we had shrunk down to the size of a rat. It was the perfect introduction to the park, combining humor, technology, and the irresistible charm of the classic Pixar film.

After this we then decided to head for some food, and we decided to try Stark Factory as we’d compared a few options and this seemed the best one we both agreed on. Initially walking in you feel as though you are joining Tony Stark in the middle of building his apron Suits. The detail again is beyond anything you’d imagine, and excelling the standards Disney set for themselves. We paid €14 total and both got a pastry, a coffee and a juice which was just enough for us both and super yummy.

Midday: adventures and lunch
As the day went on, we wandered through the park, exploring the shops and the different areas. We explored the Toy Story Playland, an area of the park where the characters and settings from the beloved franchise come to life. We also spent a lot more time in Avengers Campus where we managed to ride Webslingers which was the ultimate interactive 3D experience. We also grabbed some food at the back of the campus at the Fantastic Food Truck, where we both got hot dogs, drinks and the infamous Groot cookies!

Afternoon: More Disney Magic
After lunch, we headed to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. A spine-tingling drop ride that brings a touch of thrill to the day, this attraction had us on the edge of our seats. The eerie atmosphere, combined with a sudden freefall, gave us quite the adrenaline rush!
Next, we ventured into the Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic, where we hopped aboard a tram that took us through actual working sets. The tour was a great way to see how movies are made, with exciting surprises, including a thrilling close-up look at special effects used in some of Disney’s iconic films.
Afterward, we decided to stop off and do a couple of shows: Together: a Pixar musical adventure, a show full of catchy tunes and all your favourite Pixar friends. We also stopped by to see Stitch live! Which as much as this is aimed at kids, we still got some good laughs out of him.

Evening: the end to a perfect day
As the day came to a close, we headed out to the Disney Village for some food and drink before making our way back to the hotel.
We settled on The Royal Pub, which boats a menu of pub classics with some more adventurous meals as well. Mr C had his usual burger and pint, whereas I thought I was being super clever and ordering a steak… it was not however what I expected at all and I had not realised this was wafer thin, raw steak served cold with fries. Needless to say I then went to McDonalds for some nuggets and chips before we then went back to our hotel. Lesson learnt for next time – if you’re unsure, GOOGLE IT!
