Day 3 – A Day of Dreams at Disneyland Park

Our magical journey through Disneyland Park was everything we had hoped for and more! From iconic rides to unforgettable moments, here’s a peek at our incredible day at the happiest place on Earth.

Morning: Stepping into a World of Magic

We arrived bright and early, eager to start our day, and grabbed ourselves a quick Starbucks from the station as our morning kick! Shortly after they opened the gates and as we scanned through Mickey and Minnie were waiting to welcome the days guests which was such a cute touch. As soon as we stepped through the gates of Disneyland Park, we were immersed in a world of wonder. The castle stood tall and proud in the distance, and we could already feel the excitement in the air.

The Adventure Begins: Classic Attractions

We wasted no time and headed straight for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This thrilling roller coaster was filled with twists, turns, and heart-pounding moments. This fast-paced adventure had us laughing and gasping the whole way through.

Next, wevisited Phantom Manor. The eerie atmosphere, combined with the cheeky humor of the “999 happy haunts,” made it both spooky and fun. It was the perfect balance of thrill and laughter!

On the way here we also stumbled across a pop up meet with Mickey Mouse in his Phantom Manor costume – and absolute must do! However he doesn’t show up on the map so keep checking when your in the vacinity.

We couldn’t visit Disneyland without experiencing Pirates of the Caribbean. This beloved classic transported us to the high seas, where we sailed alongside pirates, treasure, and hidden treasures. The ride’s incredible details, including the captivating animatronics, make it feel as though we’ve been swept away to a pirate’s life!

Midday: Discoveryland, Lunch and Relaxation

We also ventured over to Discoveryland, where we experienced the classic Star Tours, and the ultimate Carlton versus Carlton on Buzz Lightyears Lazer Blast needless to say, Mr C won… but I consoled myself with a look in the shop after as they usually have loads of Stitch merchandise and anyone who knows me knows he’s my little spirit animal.

After some action-packed rides, we were ready for a relaxing lunch over at The Hyperion. A huge open space, they boast typical theme park food such as burger, nuggets, fries and soft drinks, it’s an easy compromise for most families. We grabbed a window seat so we could see out over Discoveryland and see what was going on.

Refuelled and ready to go, we made our way down past Star Tours as we had spotted on the app, a meet with Mando and Grogu which we decided was a must do!

Afternoon: Fantasy and Adventure

After lunch, and our meet and greet, we wandered through Fantasyland, where we managed to ride some of the park’s most beloved attractions. We flew high with Dumbo, before heading to It’s a Small World for a colorful boat ride with unforgettable tunes, to spinning madly on the Mat Hatters Teacups and riding with royalty on Le Carrousel de Lancelot.

Before long, it was time for a little downtime, so we grabbed the champagne from the cart by The Plaza, and wandered around the castle and Main Street USA, checking out the merch in the shops, before grabbing a champagne from the cart next to The Plaza.

At €15 a glass (which you keep by the way!) it is a little on the expensive side, but for us on our first trip together we wanted to make it special. It’s was definitely worth the splurge, as just sitting with it watching the world go by in the castle hub was a really cool moment for us.

We also managed to stop and see the show A Million Splashes of Colour in the castle hub featuring all your favourite Disney pals and more of Disneys well known catchy songs! It’s a true festival of fun and music, and we were both dancing and singing along.

Evening: The Magic Comes to Life

As the evening approached, we found a good spot near Sleeping Beauty Castle to settle in for the Disneyland Parade. The floats, music, and character appearances were simply breathtaking. Watching Mickey, Minnie, and the whole gang wave to us felt like a dream come true!

We then skipped through to Fantasyland to Pizzeria Bella Note, for some tea before settling for the big fireworks show. We both grabbed the pizza meal – and yes it was Mickey Shaped! For a theme park pizza we both thoroughly enjoyed this, and it was the perfect meal before settling in for the fireworks show.

As night fell, we made sure not to miss the Disneyland fireworks show. With fireworks lighting up the sky to the sound of Disney classics, it was a truly magical moment — the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

Reflections on a Day Full of Magic

Our day at Disneyland Park was nothing short of incredible. Whether we were on thrilling rides, enjoying the whimsical charm of Fantasyland, or watching the parade, there was an undeniable sense of wonder everywhere we turned. Disneyland truly is a place where dreams come true, and we left with our hearts full of joy, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

If you’ve been thinking about visiting, let this be the sign to go! Disneyland is more than just a theme park; it’s a magical experience that transports you to a world of joy and imagination.

We had such an amazing day, we were sad to see the end of it! We do have one more day left to share though so join us again as we spend the morning in the village before heading home again
